Dr. Suat İ. Günsel Awarded With 20th Anniversary State Order of Gagauzia Autonomous Republic
Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, Founding Rector of Near East University, has been awarded with 20th Anniversary State Order by His Excellency Mikhail Formuzal, President of Gagauzia Autonomous Republic.
His Excellency İurie Lenca, Prime Minister of Moldovia Republic, state representatives from other countries, ambassadors accredited to Moldova Republic, ambassadors of neighbour countries such as Russia, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus and Turkey attended to 20th anniversary ceremonies of Gagauzia Autonomus Republic that declared its autonomy on 23 December 1994.
Dr. Günsel Awarded With State Order
Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, invited by the Gagauzia Autonomous Republic as the special guest of President Mikhail Formuzal, awarded with 20th Anniversary State Order by President Mikhail Formuzal. Following the award ceremony, Dr. Günsel delivered a speech to Parliament of Gagauzia Autonomous Republic, guests and to people of Gagauzia.

Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, emhasizing that individuals need family, but people need sovereign state in his speech, congratulated Gagauzian People on behalf of TRNC People and Near East Family for establishing an autonomous republic and said that the following generations will further develop the achievements of their people.
Dr. Günsel, emphasized that he is much grateful to see the developments in Gagauzia at his visits and the Gagauzian young people are representing their country in the best possible way in TRNC.
Besides, he said that it is a great honour and source of happiness to see that the young Gagauzian people graduated from TRNC are holding significant positions at various departments of state and private sectors.
Mircea Snegur, ex President of Moldovia Republic who signed the protocol granting autonomy to Gagauzia, told about the political status of Moldovia and how the autonomy status granted to Gagauzia.
Dr. Suat Günsel, the Founding Rector of NEU, is accompanied by Prof. Dr. Fahreddin Sadıkoğlu, Vice Rector of NEU, and Mr. Tümer Garip, assisstant of Founding Rector, during his visit in Gagauzia Autonomous Republic.
